The Silk Room School of Burlesque and Cabaret was founded in Shanghai
and has become one of the Biggest Burlesque Schools in China,
with schools soon to open in Canada, Ireland and Australia.
We believe the “Silk” in our name signifies movement, lust, success and metamorphosis
and we were inspired by “The Silk Road” ideology which links China with the West.
We want to keep our roots in China and
the celebration of diversity within our schools throughout the world.

We work with our students to help nurture their unique signature strengths
and encourage body positivity through movement and performance.
